Richard Katsma

Richard Katsma was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where his passion for the outdoors began at an early age. He started hunting at just 10 years old alongside his dad, building not only skills but a lifelong love for the tradition, discipline, and adventure that hunting brings.

 

With several years of professional guiding experience and worldwide hunting adventures under his belt, Richard brings a wealth of knowledge and real-world expertise to the team at Western Obsessions TV. He is an accomplished hunter in both archery and firearms and recently achieved the prestigious North American Sheep Grand Slam — a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and skill in the field.

 

When he’s not hunting, Richard enjoys spending time outdoors hiking with his beautiful wife and sharing his passion for the outdoors with his grandchildren. Teaching them how to hunt and fish is one of his greatest joys, and he looks forward to passing down the traditions and values that have shaped his life.

 

Richard’s deep-rooted love for the outdoors, combined with his global experience and commitment to conservation and ethical hunting, makes him a valued member of the Western Obsessions team.
